A study exploring the efficacy of acupuncture in facilitating conception is the 2020 randomized controlled trial titled "Effectiveness of acupuncture on pregnancy success rates for women undergoing in vitro fertilization," conducted at Ataturk University in Turkey, which involved 72 infertile women and found that acupuncture before and after embryo transfer significantly boosted positive Beta-HCG results (63.9% vs. 33.3%), clinical pregnancy, ongoing pregnancy, and live birth rates compared to a control group, while also reducing anxiety levels.
