Many women experiencing infertility may have a cellular energy deficit, particularly within the ovaries. Egg cells contain large numbers of mitochondria—the structures responsible for producing ATP, the energy required for follicular development, chromosome separation, fertilization, and early embryo growth. Aging, oxidative stress, inflammation, impaired blood flow, and metabolic dysfunction can reduce mitochondrial efficiency. As a result, eggs may lack sufficient energy to mature properly, divide accurately, or support embryonic development. Improving metabolic health, reducing oxidative stress, and supporting ovarian circulation may help create a healthier cellular environment for reproductive function.
